How PittsburghEverything collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information.

Last updated: October 5, 2026 · PittsburghEverything is operated by Valleytainment Productions LLC

Our privacy approach

We collect information needed to operate PittsburghEverything, provide account and business-listing features, process subscriptions, maintain security, understand usage, and communicate with users. We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as name, email, profile photo, phone, location fields, contact preferences, and authentication metadata.
  • Business listing information such as business name, category, address, contact details, hours, website, social links, descriptions, logos, and business photos.
  • Billing-related identifiers and subscription status received from Stripe. PittsburghEverything does not receive or store full payment-card numbers from Stripe Checkout.
  • Usage, device, browser, referral, and interaction information used for security, performance, analytics, and product improvement.
  • Communications, support requests, moderation history, marketing preferences, and unsubscribe records.

How we use information

  • Authenticate accounts and keep account sessions secure.
  • Create, review, publish, update, and administer business listings.
  • Start and reconcile paid subscriptions, provide billing self-service, and prevent duplicate or unauthorized billing actions.
  • Operate analytics, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, measure product performance, and improve PittsburghEverything.
  • Send transactional messages and, when allowed, business-listing or marketing communications with opt-out controls.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, protect users, and respond to valid legal requests.

Service providers

  • Google Firebase provides authentication, Firestore database services, and Firebase Storage used by account and business-listing features.
  • Stripe processes subscription payments and provides hosted Checkout and Customer Portal billing tools.
  • Vercel hosts and delivers the PittsburghEverything web application and provides platform observability and performance infrastructure.
  • Google Analytics and related analytics tooling may measure site usage where enabled.
  • Email or communications providers may process information needed to deliver requested, transactional, or permitted marketing messages.

Business media and public information

Business information intended for a directory listing can become public after approval. Approved logos, photos, descriptions, contact information, hours, links, and other listing fields may be displayed publicly and indexed by search engines.

Draft submissions, account profile data, internal moderation fields, raw Stripe identifiers, and other non-public account information are kept behind server-side access controls and are not intentionally exposed through public Firestore or Firebase Storage access.

Payments and billing

Paid business subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Stripe may collect payment details, billing addresses, tax-related information, and other information necessary to process payments and manage subscriptions under Stripe's own privacy terms.

PittsburghEverything stores the billing references and subscription state needed to connect a Stripe subscription to the correct account and business listing. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes from Stripe Checkout.

Cookies, analytics, and measurement

Essential cookies are used for authentication, security, and core functionality. Analytics technologies may be used to understand traffic, navigation, conversions, device/browser characteristics, and performance. We do not intentionally send full payment-card data or other sensitive payment credentials to analytics systems.

Browser or platform controls, consent choices where presented, and applicable opt-out mechanisms can affect non-essential measurement.

Retention, security, and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and listing history, prevent fraud and abuse, meet billing/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations.

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including server-mediated account access and restricted browser access to private Firestore and Firebase Storage data. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Deletion requests can be made using the contact options below. Some records may be retained when needed for legitimate security, accounting, dispute, or legal obligations, and public information already indexed by third parties may take time to disappear from their systems.
